Individual counseling

Personalized Support Through Individual Counselling
Individual counselling provides a personal opportunity for support and growth during challenging times. It helps individuals address various personal issues such as anger, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, relationship challenges, parenting problems, and career changes. This form of counselling involves a one-on-one process with a trained mental health clinician in a confidential setting, allowing individuals to explore their feelings, beliefs, and behaviours, work through challenging memories, and set personal goals for change.
Tailored Therapy to Promote Healing and Well-Being
Therapy goals, frequency, and duration are personalized, and client driven. The primary aim is to work through mental health concerns, promoting healing and psychological well-being. Sessions typically last between 45 and 50 minutes, with frequency depending on individual needs and goals. Research shows that psychotherapy can lead to fewer relapses of mental health conditions like depression and anxiety, with effects extending beyond the treatment period. Unlike solely relying on medications, therapy offers evidence-based approaches that are analysed for their effectiveness without harmful side effects.
Collaborative Counselling for Goal Setting and Progress
In the first session of short-term counseling, clients complete the necessary forms and discuss their current concerns with the clinician. Subsequent sessions, usually 45 minutes each, involve goal setting and progress monitoring. Clients are encouraged to voice any concerns about the counseling process, and if further assistance is needed, clinicians can facilitate connections with local community resources. The counselling experience is tailored to individual issues, clinician perspectives, and collaboratively set goals.
