Affectionate
Finally, end of the week!
Its full journey from Monday to Friday, and the last part of the journey is the sweetest.
It’s the time our thoughts and energy drift towards our loved ones, the feeling of affection surround us.
It’s believed that there are five different ways people prefer to give and receive love. These include words of affirmation, quality time, physical touch, acts of service, and receiving gifts.

We might not realize all the ways that becoming more affectionate can improve our life.
Increased oxytocin levels: This chemical, which our bodies release through physical touch and love, makes people feel connected to others.
- Less stress: Cortisol is the key hormone related to our bodies’ stress response, and by helping us to reduce stress, affection lowers our cortisol levels.
- Affection is great for mental health: People in affectionate relationships experience less mental health issues like anxiety and depression compared to those who are in more antagonistic relationships.
Improved physical health: If a simple hug can help your immune symptom and reduce illness severity, just imagine how much that can aid in your long-term wellness!
There are many pitfalls for not being affectionate resulting in increased stress, lower immunity.
Weekend is a good time to be more affectionate, we have more time to express our affection. Let’s make the most of it.
My love is like a rose in bloom,
The petals soft and sweet with perfume,
I can’t help but be drawn to thee,
Your beauty divine for all to see.
Your touch so gentle on my skin,
My heart flutters as I let you in,
A feeling I just can’t explain,
Your love like the sweetest champagne.
Our bond together so strong and true,
The way I feel for you is something new,
You make me happy when skies are grey,
My feelings of affection won’t go away.
